The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.
Save when bundled with Sanwa JLF, FA Nippon ALU products
Now you can save 35 cents on the 2lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops. Just choose "Add 2lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.

2lb Tension Spring for Sanwa JLF

Sturdy Spring
My Qanba Q4 RAF, was way too loose for my taste, and so inneficient for playing bullet hell SHMUP. Replacing the original 1 lbs spring by this 2lbs one, made for a much stiffer and reactive stick. Good if you play game that require fast and precise reaction. Be warmed though that it is significantly more physical to operate. Right now it is brand and I wonder if it will soften a bit over time. Recommended rather than home made modification of the default spring, or adding an extra Semitsu spring together with the default spring. Getting this clean and robust 2 lbs spring feels a lot more cleaner overall, and relatively cheap too. Unknown on Feb 9th 2017

feels good
I like the way my jlf feels way more with the spring than without it Isaiah Rodman on Feb 3rd 2017

It works!
This is a mod if you feel your stick movements are too lone. Sometimes it's a little too stiff depending on the game. For me ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 it's too stiff but SF5 it's perfect. I wish there was 1.5lbs version. Unknown on Jan 27th 2017

Still but not too stiff
If your wanting a little more resistance for the default Sanwa that comes in most Madcatz or similar joysticks this is definitely going to help by switching it out. It adds just enough to make it to where you can feel where it's going without accidental clicking. Keep in mind using a light weight top is still recommended since aluminum ones will need a 4lb spring or it will be too easy to push it again. Keith on Nov 15th 2016

Battop + 2LB Sping = Perfect
So initially I didn't use the 2lb spring when I changed the JLF to silent and balltop to battop, but the tension on the stock spring felt really weak and loose. Now I'm not sure if this happens with all balltop>battop swaps but this worked perfectly. Taygun on Aug 10th 2016

En el caso de la Hayabusa, solo con el 2lb tension spring quedo bien ¡¡ **EDIT BY FA - TRANSLATION VIA GOOGLE TRANSLATOR** I must say that simply the standard of Sanwa JLF and Hayabusa is too loose, do not have the strength I would like. Probe spring 4lb for both levers but I really sore left wrist, of 2Lb for me is the ideal ' ... in the case of Sanwa JLF overside Kowal adding a tension spring actuator + 2lb stay perfect . In the case of Hayabusa, only with tension spring 2lb stay well ' Cristian on May 25th 2016

it just feels nice
The difference between this and the stock spring on a JLF is like night and day. It takes a bit of getting used to but not a whole lot. The stiffness makes your stick feel even more solid than it already is. You'll be wondering how you put up with the looseness of the stock spring for so long. It just feels nice. Definitely worth picking up when ordering parts. Chipface on Apr 30th 2016
