The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.

  1. The only way to go

I just bought this as a throw in for my order because I've never tried additional tension and now I can't go back. It feels much more natural to me Unknown on Nov 3rd 2017

  2. Excellent

If you like to play old arcade games, this is a must buy. Unknown on Oct 24th 2017

  3. Best feel overall

4lbs is a bit much and the my whole fightstick moves around. The stock spring feels too loose. 2lbs is perfect for just the right amount of joystick resistance. Helps me to control my moves a lot more. U.K. on Oct 23rd 2017

  4. The 2-pound spring

With this spring you achieve a greater precision and to the touch being harder you achieve more precise sensations in the game. for me iimprescindible since the Japanese controls are too soft Unknown on Oct 18th 2017

  5. Huge improvement for the stock Sanwa

These springs are great - they make a big improvement to the stock joystick and are very easy to fit. Super pleased I took the plunge an made the change - Ill be adding these springs to all my sticks going forward. Mark Jaques on Oct 11th 2017

  6. Feels Great!!

I bought both the 4lb and 2lb spring. While the 4lb feels good, sometimes I noticed I was moving the whole fightstick. 2lbs was perfect for tighter feel and not moving the fightstick all over the place. Buying more for the rest of my fightsticks. Unknown on Oct 8th 2017

  7. Excellent and cheap mod for a bit more tension

I bought this off a suggestion when I asked about how best to get a stick to return to neutral or "snap back" a bit more and have a bit more resistance, and this really fit the bill. Excellent choice in a mod that won't break the bank yet really helps me out. Unknown on Sep 27th 2017

  8. Adds a very nice amount of resistance.

This spring was a breeze to install, and with it, it helped improve my joystick movement and awareness while making my inputs tighter. Would recommend to anyone who's joystick is too loose. Nikolai on Jul 30th 2017

  9. Adds more resistance to the stick

I've never modded a spring on an arcade stick before. After trying a stick that was equipped with a 2lb spring, I really enjoyed the feel and decided to install my own. What you're getting here is a very small spring, and no directions to do so. I followed a YouTube tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USg_JDcbXXI&feature=youtu.be) and installed it easily into my Qanba Obsidian. The feel is great, and I feel like it helps me be more precise with my inputs in Tekken. All personal preference, but I love the feel of a more resistant stick. Travis on Jul 29th 2017
