The 4lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, now adding 3.2lb more force than the original. This model is designed towards those looking for an incredibly high-tension feel, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF.

4lb Tension Spring for Sanwa JLF

Just the right amount of resistance
I find that console fightsticks all have joysticks that have way too little resistance. It makes it hard for me to be precise. I ordered the 4lb spring for my Hori RAP4, unsure if it would make the Hayabusa stick too stiff (the 2lb spring was sold out). Fortunately, the amount of resistance it provides is just right. It's been a long time since I've played on an American Happ-equipped machine, but my Hori RAP4 feels very similar now. Unknown on Apr 18th 2016

Good if you like stiff sticks!!!
I got this today and installed it! its pretty stiff as expected! 4lb resistance! If you don't like the stock one but want something a bit stiffer this is the one to get. I'm waiting for the 2lb one to be in stock, I'm going to order it and try it out..I think i will use the 2lb but for now this will do Scott Yang on Apr 15th 2016

Reccomend for Tekken and great alternative to Korean Stick
As somebody who has been in the competitive scene for awhile I wanted to originally purchase a 2lb spring however they were all sold out so I decided to purchase this product. To get straight to the point I only recommend this to people with either large hands or to competitive Tekken players. The spring helps so much with combos and wave dashing movements, don't waste your money on a whole other Korean stick just buy this product and you'll have the same experience in my POV. However as somebody who plays more street fighter or somebody has smaller weaker hands I do not recommend this product. I want to give it a higher rating but to me it depends on what person you are.
