The art cover replacement top panel offers one of the best ways to customize your joystick. The plexiglass sits atop specially cut artwork, allowing you to add or replace new custom artwork to match your joystick theme.
Modified for Personalization. Adjusted for 1/16" Plexi
First generation MadCatz T.E.2 Fightsticks utilized a bevel-edge panel that allowed it to fit flush with the panel border. In order to offer a panel that can be etched upon, we are offering a 1/16" thick acrylic. Most notably, the button holes are sized so that the plexi rests underneath the button rims - a common application of plexi. The Blank Etch and Cut Plexi Cover for MadCatz T.E.2, T.E.2+ (GENERATION 2 1/40") uses a much thinner acrylic film and button holes are sized so that the plexi surrounds the button instead of resting underneath it. More information
about these differences are available in our support section.
Slim, Durable Configuration. Laser Cut Layout
The T.E.2 top panel is constructed using resilient clear acrylic, and layout is cut to precision with a laser etching device.

Madcatz Plexi
My original Plexi somehow got warped from being in the sun and this product replaced the original as it was the stock part. Amazing product and gets the job done! Unknown on Aug 23rd 2023

Great replacement
One thing to keep in mind is that this plexi is not flushed with the SFV madcatz te2+ bezel. It is way better than the stock plexi for older te2 Unknown on Sep 4th 2019

This is a perfect plxie glass replacement!
So to clarify the difference. This 1/16 adjusted is a thicker yet slightly smaller Plexi cover compared to the original. It fits perfectly into the little slot for the artwork. And the button cutouts sync up with the holes so your buttons set on top of it as opposed to being surrounded by it like the original plexi. So you don't feel the plexiglass sliding or flexing when you're touching it. This is vastly superior!!! This is highly recommended! Important warning for sanwa snap in button users: I have the special edition Chun-Li clear blue case. When I took the original yellow sanwa buttons out in order to replace them, and the original artwork and plexiglass, all eight of the buttons broke. When I replaced everything and put new snap in sanwas to test it out, one of them broke as I tryed to remove it. This is in no way because of the new plexiglass. Just the holes cut out in the Mad Catz arcade stick is very tight and unforgiving to snap in buttons. (Never had this problem with my Razer Atrox) I don't know if this applies to all other mad cat sticks, I just know it applies to my Chun-Li stick. So I highly recommend you switching to screw in buttons. preferably the Cherry MX silver Crown/Samducksa SDB-202C buttons. Ted on Jun 25th 2019
