The Japanese Wiring Bundle is designed to offer some of the fundamental harnesses and wiring you need to build out DIY Fightstick that utilizes a Brook Universal Fighting Board PCB, or PCB with a similar form factor, such as 20-pin header and 4-pin connector for L3, R3, and Touchpad Button such as GP2040-CE (V5.6E - USB-B, USB-C) Open Source Multi-Console Fight Board

What's Included?

Here's what's included with the American Wiring Bundle:

  • 1 x 20-Pin Joystick/Button Harness
This versatile harness includes wiring with .110" signal and ground connectors for a standard 8 button Fightstick that uses Japanese style buttons. Additionally, you will find wiring for buttons that represent Home/PS, Select/Share/Back, and Start/Options. plus JST connector for 5-pin joysticks brands such as Sanwa Denshi or Seimitsu.

Additionally, you can connect conversion harnesses such as the 5-Pin to All-Button Conversion Harness for All-Button control, or .187 to 5-pin Conversion Harness to attach to Korean style joystick brands such as Crown/SamducksaIST, or ETokki. The 20 pin connector on most Brook PCBs attaches to the connector at the end of the harness.

  • 1 x 4-Pin L3/R3/Touchpad Button Harness for Brook Universal Fighting Board
These represent the L3, R3 and Touchpad Buttons on a Playstation controller. This 4-pin button harness contains .110 terminals to connect to another 3 24mm buttons, along with a ground wire. Those buttons each represent L3, R3, and Touchpad button respectively. This all attaches to the 4-pin L3/R3/Touchpad connector on most Brook PCBs.

20-Pin Harness Installation Tips

As a design for creating a 20-pin connector for a wire harness that can utilize the 20-pin connection on Brook UFB and Audio PCB's below is a suggested layout. It is most important to not use the VCC pins on 19 and 20.

The harness uses .110" quick disconnects to buttons and a joystick harness for direction inputs.
