Good, but with one issue
The bottom line is the link works; it pops off and makes transporting my stick without worrying about the joystick itself hassle-free. That said I'm a few months in, I'm consistently hitting an issue where removing the stick has become excruciating. I don't know what exactly is happening but I am genuinely fearful of ripping the skin off of my fingers because removing the joystick only happens after pulling with literally all of my strength several times. I've cleaned the insides of the shaft and the stick so I don't think it's an issue of anything sticking. No idea what's causing this. Unknown on May 7th 2023

Slightly thicker than shaft cover, otherwise very solid
Really like this detachable shaft. Had some issues with the shaft binding on the dust washer when it was at full travel (eg diagonals on a square gate), and found out that this shaft is *slightly* thicker than the shaft cover I got with the dust washer. The shaft was dead-on 0.5" (credit to Phreakmods for that), but the shaft cover was about 0.49". This difference meant that my dust washers couldn't deflect as much, so there was a noticeably higher tension in the stick at high deflection. Otherwise, I'm really pleased. It feels nicely made and the quick-release mechanism is rigid enough that I'd believe it was a solid shaft otherwise. I would absolutely buy more of these, and I'll probably just take some sandpaper to the holes in the dust washers to address the deflection. Blustride on Nov 29th 2022

Better than the original
The Phreak Mods Link EX Groove is the same thing except when you have a battop on your joystick instead of balltop you can remove it easily. Balltops have the same ease of removing as before. With this now your battops can be removed the same as you could with a balltop. I purchased 2 of these for my other home sticks. When more come back in stock I will purchase 2 more because it is worth it instead of un screwing the case of the stick apart to put a balltop or battop on. Joseph on Jul 27th 2020
