The Sanwa GT-2F Restrictor plate is a throwback to simpler controls. The gate is limited to only two directions: either up or down, left or right depending on the orientation that the gate is installed.
The Sanwa GT-2F Octagonal Restrictor Gate is compatible with the Sanwa JLF joystick series.

2-ways. You can put one of these in your Arcade1Up Galaga aligned left-right, though that machine has a cut joystick slot (rather than the usual hole) in the CP itself to restrict movement. I put one in my Rampage-to-Defender dedicated cab conversion, as Defender only uses up-down, and that's taken care of. Pop the catches and pull the old one out and snap the new one in oriented the way you want it. Simple installation. Gary S on Dec 5th 2019
