LS-56-01 Model Uses Omron Microwitch
Panasonic no longer manufactures microswitches for Seimitsu products. The units we have now will use Omron brand microswitches.

Before Seimitsu introduced the LS-58 series of translucent color joysticks, there was the solidly-built LS-56. This joystick is noticably smaller than the LS-32 or LS-40, enabling it to fit inside smaller joystick configurations, such as a Madcatz TE. The stiffer spring makes it excellent for those who prefer it to the softer looser spring in a Sanwa JLF, or LS-58.
The LS-56 has the following characteristics according to slagcoin:
- Medium throw distance
- Medium engage distance
- Has a heavy tension spring in comparison to Sanwa JLF
- Comes with square gate by default but can be fitted with an octagonal gate.
- High neutral and engage precision.
Compatble with Seimtsu LB-35 balltops, LB-39 bubbletops, color shaft and dustwasher sets
You can find plenty of color customization options for the LS-56. Now available are Seimitsu solid and translucent color shaft and dustwasher sets, plus solid color LB-35 bubbletops, and translucent LB-39 bubbletops. Use these to swap the default black up to 7 solid color and 10 translucent colors accessories.
Bundle with LS-56 octogonal gate!
The Seimitsu LS 56 Octagonal Restrictor Plate is compatible with the LS-58, allowing you to get smooth 8-way movement similar to the Sanwa GTY.
Flat MS Plate installed. VF, P=40 Flat and SS Plates Available
The Seimitsu LS-56-01 joystick comes with a flat MS plate, which can install on MadCatz TE. We also carry the Seimitsu VF Plate, which is often used in Hori joystick configurations, plus the flat and SS P=40 plate. The P=40 is considered one of Seimitsu's most versatile plates. The P-40 plate mounts on practically any "universal" mounting spot (HRAP 3 SA/SE or HRAP V3/VX SA) as well as seemingly "JLF-only" HRAP 3's and licensed HRAP's like the Arcana Heart 2 joystick (Thanks to SRK's GeorgeC for the explanation).

Tight and responsive, very good for arcade and action games.
I was skeptical of dropping cash on a Seimitsu stick, especially since shipping to my country is pretty expensive, but after one session with this new stick I'm a convert. I fitted it into my PS3 Hori RAP V3.SA and matched it with a 45mm balltop. I mainly play shmups and arcade games, and after a few runs of Fire Shark, OutZone and Truxton 2 I could feel the difference. The shorter travel helped inputs come out faster, and the increased resistance helps me keep fine control under pressure. Really impressed with this after years of using Sanwa JLFs. Highly recommended. HGB on Oct 3rd 2018

Be Deliberate!
I had a slightly bad habbit of making inputs that were probably correct and hoping for the best. You can't do that with this stick, you have to be accurate. Sounds bad, but it's good to get out of the bad habbit. When I hit confirm>special>critical art in SFV I now execute %100 of the time instead of %90, which is a big %10 jump. The stick is tight, the throw is short, and it snaps back to center quickly. I have this, a hyabusa, and a Sanwa. They're all great but I'd say this is my numer 2 behind the hyabusa (to be fair I haven't modded the JLF yet and I hate square gates so it might move up my list). If you can, try all three, but it's really a feel thing more than one is better that the other. If you don't want to worry about modding I'd say this is the definitive hairtrigger stick of the ones I've used. Rob on Mar 2nd 2018

For my first stick upgrade
I love this Stick, it helps you really earn your combos. The tension of the spring is great for returning to neutral! Definitely happy with my purchase. Back dashing with this in tekken is a challenge but i'm sure it will be rewarding once I get used to it. blowncircuit on Aug 26th 2017

Great for fast inputs!
It's a great joystick for those wanting to quickly perform moves while also getting into neutral as fast as possible. Compared to a JLF with an actuator mod this joystick can get you quicker inputs with it's shorter travel distance. As always it's based on preference but if you play by barley moving the joystick this is a great product for you. Unknown on Jul 30th 2017

I Love This Thing
I've owned both Sanwa JLF and Hori Hayabusa sticks. This is the first Seimitsu I've tried and it's by far my favorite. It feels great in the hand and the short throw let's me get moves out faster. I couldn't ask for more. Lance on Jun 6th 2017

My shmup stick
I was looking for a stick specifically for shmups/shooting games/STG's. The short throw and high tension of the LS-56 makes it perfect for doing consecutive tap dodges and feels very responsive. Also it is a smaller size making it easier to fit in a case. Kai on Jan 26th 2017

Absolutely phenomenal stick.
Bought this to swap it out with the default stick in my cheapo Hori Fighting Stick 3, it's absolutely phenomenal if you're a fan of shoot-em-ups or other high precision arcade games. Great audible and tactile feedback, wonderfully short travel, and good aesthetics. Shipped quickly and was packed very well. I definitely recommend it. uncletrunks on May 31st 2016
