Suzo Happ 8-Way Competition Joystick - Black

Over all great joystick
Decided to give this joystick a try as i am building a budget bartop cabinet. The plastic is very strong and had no issues giving the screws extra pressure when mounting to the control panel. The built in spring has great tension and not to much where the battop is stiff and hard to move. I have been very happy with my purchase and will be buying some more very soon. American arcade feel, to a point
Happ Competition joysticks were pretty much standard in Capcom's arcade cabinets up until the mid-1990's. What you may not be aware of is that many of those early sticks were actually manufactured by Industrias Lorenzo. Happ eventually mainlined its entire production and has made only minor changes over the years, but those changes may be enough to conflict with your memory of those old arcade days. If you're a stickler for detail, you should check out the Industrias Lorzeno Eurostick, which is closer to the Happ you remember. In either case, beware that you're getting a stick that's weighty and responsive, but not as precise as the Sanwas and Seimitsus that are now standard. It can also be a pain to install one of these if your case doesn't have enough room inside. All that said, if you have an arcade cabinet or want to mimic one from the 1980s and 90s, get this.
